Training and Development Mission To deliver quality through the continuous and evolving education of IGF employees on the company's mission, vision, people, processes, and product.DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES1. Help create and develop IGF's story through branding, storytelling, and ensuring that the company's actions, culture, and messaging align with its mission and core foundations.2. Create and deliver critical and engaging training on IGF policies, standards, and procedures, or management practices.3. Engage external subject matter experts to provide new and innovative approaches to helping employees understand and achieve IGF's mission.4. Tailor trainings to departments and management tiers in ways that focus on subject matter as well as help cultivate peer groups and promote the value of teamwork.5. Pursue continuous improvement: conduct engagement surveys, measure training effectiveness, and apply lessons learned.6. Contribute to onboarding new hires; provide training support for internal job moves.TERMS AND DEFINITIONSDifferent organizations attach different meanings to words. Below is how IGF defines the following terms.TERM DEFINITIONCuriosity The desire to learn or know about anything; inquisitiveness.Quality Taking utmost care by investing in the continuous improvement of the people and processes that make up the distribution lifecycle.Team A number of persons cooperating in joint action.BRAND SPECIALIST DESCRIPTIONThe Brand Specialist raises IGF brand awareness through events, promotions, social media, and other marketing channels. The Specialist develops branding guidelines and enforces the proper use of IGF's logo, templates, and other branded materials; creates written and visual content for points of sale (POS), social media, and the website; and interacts with customers to ensure continuous improvement.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Brand Specialist does the following.1. Creates visually appealing designs for internal and external IGF-branded material2. Develops and maintains guidelines to ensure brand consistency; regularly verifies colleagues' compliance with those guidelines3. Assists with developing branding and narrative for product launches4. Raises brand awareness through events, promotions, social media, and other outreach5. Designs and writes engaging content for a variety of mediums, including IGF's website, social media, training manuals, and internal memos and newsletters6. Maintains IGF's social media and website presence: copy edits, updates images, performs site maintenance, and tracks traffic7. Interacts with customers, vendors, and employees to gather feedback to ensure continuous improvement8. Works with external vendors to produce apparel, marketing items, and print material9. Contributes to the team by performing other work as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS•Minimum two years of experience in branding, graphic design, internal communication, or a similar role•Proficiency in graphic design software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite•Strong understanding of branding principles and best practices•Experience designing for various mediums including print and web (website and social media platforms)•Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word•Exceptional writing and communication skills with an ability to craft compelling narratives•Content creation experience in various multimedia channels•Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field (preferred)PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES•Sense of urgency: an ability to work quickly and accurately handling multiple projects and deadlines•Creative and persistent problem solver: has a problem-solving mindset with good project and time management skills; solution-oriented•Detail-oriented: has a keen eye for details without losing sight of the big picture•Integrity: honest, discreet, and trustworthy; does what is right and necessary•Humility: demonstrates humility and flexibility; recognizes achievements of others•Curiosity and growth mindset: willingness to learn and grow•Efficient and organized: able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
