We are currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team and help create a dining experience that nurtures both body and soul.As a Cook, you'll be responsible for setting up breakfast, assisting in meal preparation, following recipes and resident dietary needs. Our in-house restaurant, The Gillman serves 100-150 independent living residents, while we also have 4 satellite kitchens that help serve meal to our nursing residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long Term Care, and Skilled Rehab. In this role, you'll work as part of a team to ensure high service standards including timely meal service, cleanliness and organization, and model our ECP values. As a member of the Hospitality department, you will work with Cooks, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and Dishwashers, and report to our Executive Chef and Director of Hospitality.What You Will Do:* Assist with Daily Independent Living Residents Continental Breakfast Service, Stocking, Prepping* Prepare all soups, stocks, sauces; boils, braises and roasts items as per standardized recipes* Prepare and serves all sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes* Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved* Determine amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and obtaining from storage areas in adequate time for meal production* Assist other cooks to ensure that meal service is completed in a timely manner* Efficiently resolving problems with resident orders* Complete all necessary logs and quality assurance checklists, and ensure proper food storage with date and labels when not in use* Attain proficiency and ability to fill in for steward as needed* Attain basic proficiency and ability fill in for shift cook as neededWhat You Will Bring:* Required minimum of 1-3 years experience prep cook/ cook experience* Preferred 1 year experience working at a senior living facility/ health care facility* High School or GED* Knowledge and ability to understand measurements and conversation* Ability to interpret instructions, specifications and standards* Ability to interpret standardized recipes* Communication skills* Ability to multitask* Teamwork and ability to work independently* Ability to work under pressure* Empathy and Compassion* Passion and Leadership skills* Willingness to learn* Active listening skills* Strong work ethic* Hospitality minded* Pride in a job well done* Value in helping othersWhy You'll Love Us:At Eastcastle Place, we foster a compassionate and supportive environment for both staff and residents, treating everyone with integrity, dignity, and respect.
