Bridge Operator 6-E8 (Portage Lake Lift Bridge) - Superior Region - State of Michigan : Job Details

THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION. THE APPOINTMENT WILL TYPICALLY START IN APRIL AND END IN DECEMBER EACH YEAR. Position will work full-time hours during the seasonal assignment. This position performs all duties required in the daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of a movable bridge including all emergency procedures necessary to operate the bridge in a safe and efficient manner for vehicular, pedestrian, and waterway traffic. This position will work at the Portage Lake Lift Bridge in Houghton, MI from early-April until mid-December. DART This position is considered safety sensitive due to the operation of the lift bridge and will be DART (Drug and Alcohol Random Tested) Designated. The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E 8) level.
