Pay Rate: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Who we Are Railserve is a leading provider of in-plant rail switching, transloading, and material handling services - operating at over 75 locations in North America. We use our own locomotives and employees to safely move railcars within industrial, manufacturing and production plants. But we're not just rail car movers; we also provide a number of other services which include: rail car loading, rail car unloading, track maintenance, inspection or repair and many others. The Role: The loading and unloading areas consist of logistics activities that range in complexity and commitment from personnel as follows:
- Driving a fork truck
- Accurately supply lines throughout the facility
- Communicates with production teams
- Accurately perform SAP Transactions
- Documents and escalates downtime reason codes to be used for Bad Actor Tracking, Dow AU, etc.
- Monthly assigned inventory checks.
- 5S
Requirements - High school diploma or GED
- Proven work experience in the Logistics department as a Yard Jockey or a similar role
- Familiarity operating yard vehicles, trailers, and containers
- Understanding of inventory systems and databases
- Knowledge of the health and safety guidelines
- Excellent physical dexterity
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends
- Highly motivated and hardworking individual
- Strong multitasking abilities
