Description JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION: Broadcast Maintenance TechnicianCLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, NonexemptDIVISION: Technology & OperationsREPORTS TO: Chief EngineerPAY: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)DUTIES:

• Work as part of the TOPS Department Maintenance staff on facility repairs, upgrades and installations. Major projects may require overnight availability to meet off-air maintenance demands.
• Assist in the design, building, and documentation of new systems as well as modification of existing systems to meet new requirements.
• Assist on live broadcast remotes and local television productions.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and complete maintenance reports for the purpose of quality control.
• Maintain compliance with all FCC, OSHA, and company rules and regulations.
• Assist with other related engineering duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and have good interpersonal/communications skills.
• Experience with solid state/digital electronics and computerized systems with the ability to troubleshoot electronics equipment to the component level.
• Experience maintaining digital broadcast and production equipment a plus.
• Working knowledge of IT including software and hardware for Broadcast systems.
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
