Management Level: P3Summary: This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for the company's birds regarding the proper care and comfort. Duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation.

• Visiting farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment settings, monitor bird health, and provide remedy when possible.

• Monitoring feed consumption and ordering if necessary

• Pulling blood and fat samples as required

• Coordinating chick placements to farms

• Assisting with catch schedules

• Ensuring communication among Hatchery, Feedmill, and Livehaul departments regarding their contract farms.

• Ensuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs.

• Ensuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling.

• Working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements

• Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: bachelor's degree preferred

• Experience: 1+ years of related work experience

• Computer Skills: Elementary computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.

• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year
