Building/ Grounds Maintenance Worker The Department of Military Affairs is looking to hire a Building/ Grounds Maintenance Worker on the Traveling Maintenance Team South located out of the Sparta Armory. This position under direct supervision, regularly performs a variety of semi-skilled labor or building mechanical work below the journeyman level and may directly assist skilled craftsmen; or operates heavy equipment, as required, in the maintenance of the facility and grounds. The Department of Military Affairs works with the members of the Illinois Air and Army National Guard. We welcome all interested applicants to apply. Essential Functions Performs routine ground maintenance of facilities as assigned and/or supervised by Team Military Maintenance Engineer. Travels to various locations throughout Southern IL to perform job duties as a member of the South Maintenance Team.
