Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility's systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various maintenance fields, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and will ensure that the building operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to ensure they are functioning properly.

• Conduct repairs on mechanical systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure as needed.

• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance to prevent future failures or disruptions.

• Respond promptly to building service requests and work orders, resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with outside contractors or service providers when specialized repairs are required.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service logs, equipment status, and work orders.

• Ensure compliance with building safety codes and regulations, identifying and addressing safety concerns.

• Perform light carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and other minor facility enhancements as needed.

• Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and request replenishments when necessary.

• Assist with seasonal tasks, such as snow removal, landscaping, and heating system adjustments.

• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for building maintenance tasks.

• Perform emergency maintenance tasks as needed, sometimes outside of regular working hours.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance practices.

• Basic ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.

• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and complete tasks in a timely manner.

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require bending or kneeling.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members and contractors.
