BUILDING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II - County of Nassau New York : Job Details

Directs and coordinates building and fixture maintenance and repair activities in an institution or public building; performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Must be met on or before the closing date:Training and Experience. Completion of high school or vocational school trainingand. Four years of satisfactory skilled experience in the building trades, including two years in a supervisory capacity. NOTE:Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the four-year requirement may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years. NOTE: According to Civil Service Law, section 54 which became effective September 4, 2024, applicants who are within 12 months of meeting the minimum age or attaining the minimum educational requirements following the date of examination, may take the civil service exam, but will be restricted from certification until such a time that the minimum age or educational requirements are met.
