Building Services- Housekeeping ( Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am -5:00pm) - CMA : Job Details

The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a qualified full-time Building Services staff member. The Building Services staff member is responsible for keeping areas of the museum's indoor premises in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

• Cleaning and polishing light fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleaning galleries, classrooms, offices, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, lounges, and other work areas as assigned.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Cleaning rugs and carpets.
• Dusting furniture and equipment. Polishing metalwork.
• Washing walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washing windows, door panels, and sills.
• Emptying wastebaskets.
• Transporting trash and waste to disposal area.
• Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing supplies.
• Assisting with museum special events as needed. This may include setting up and taking down tables and chairs; emptying trash containers; and cleaning area before and after event takes place. It may also require remaining on call throughout an event in case services are needed.
• Moving office furniture and equipment as needed.
• Performing other special projects as assigned by Group Leader or Supervisor of Building Services. •

Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to operate cleaning equipment, such as buffers, strippers, and carpet cleaners. Prior knowledge of cleaning products and materials helpful.Hours of work: 40 hours per week; Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am -5:00pm)Full-time Benefits include:
