Building Services Worker - City of Dothan Alabama : Job Details

This position is responsible for the custodial care and maintenance of Leisure Services facilities. Hours can vary based on facility needs, special events, tournaments, and facility rentals. Night, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Major Duties Empties and cleans waste receptacles; replaces liners. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms; restocks restroom supplies. Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors. Strips, waxes, and buffs floors. Monitors the building(s) for spills. Stocks janitorial supply closet and orders supplies as needed. Dusts and polishes furniture, blinds, and windowsills. Cleans kitchen, including kitchen appliances. Cleans windows and glass doors. Cleans and sanitizes door handles, light switches, and other fixtures that are touched frequently by the public. Sets up furniture for events and programs; monitors calendar to determine event times, dates, and requirements. Cleans facility tables and chairs after events and programs. Replaces lightbulbs.
