Description/Job Summary
Manage site operations, ensuring project safety, quality, and production goals, objectives, and contractual requirements are achieved on time and under budget.
Responsibilities/Duties
Safety & Risk Management
+ Responsible for the accurate completion of all daily reports.
+ Complete Project Risk Assessment to fully understand health and safety hazards, labor shortages, productivity issues, subcontractor defaults/claims, quality control, etc., and mitigate all associated risks and negative impacts.
+ Attend/conduct weekly safety meetings and talk with the project team and subcontractors about safety, including site-specific Exhibit F safety training for all onsite personnel.
+ Monitor daily compliance of all safety policies and procedures.
+ Immediately address and then educate on any unsafe conditions or acts, whether observed or brought to your attention.
+ Plan with safety in mind and work towards elimination of risks.
+ Develop site specific safety plan with the project team.
+ Abide by the Company's Fleet Driving Policy.
Quality
+ Assists in preconstruction activities and or constructability reviews as needed.
+ Build and implement a quality control plan for subcontractors/trade partners work daily, ensuring quality meets or exceeds contract requirements.
+ Inspect work daily, ensuring quality meets or exceeds contract requirements; photo document the project's progress using available resources.
+ Make recommendations to the project team/subcontractors/trade partners on necessary quality improvement.
Production
+ Develop, complete, and update the project schedule with project team support as needed.
+ Create a daily plan after studying project specifications and plans to achieve completion on time.
+ Coordinate daily project team activities to meet scheduling expectations.
+ Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors.
+ Track material, equipment, and project milestones using project management software.
+ Track and verify time and material sheets from subcontractors and suppliers.
+ Develop and manage a short-term look-ahead schedule and assist project team in maintaining the project schedule and milestones.
+ Assist project team in completing pay requests as required by contract documents.
+ Develop a punch list, site observations, and quality control inspections using project management software to ensure all project tasks are completed.
+ Assist project team with project schedule development based on work type, equipment, and subcontractors needed.
+ Assist project team in reviewing subcontractor pay requests for work in place.
+ Timely development and distribution of Requests For Information (RFI) and field correspondence.
Leadership
+ Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and project team.
+ Direct and train project interns, project engineers, and assistant superintendents, ensuring continued development.
+ Train, mentor, and coach employees through concise instructions, practical feedback, and celebratory praise.
+ Anticipate and solve problems with a positive mindset and focus on solutions.
+ Encourage and expect honesty and openness from yourself and all team members.
+ Hold yourself and the team to uncompromising standards, personally and professionally.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
+ High school diploma or GED plus four (4) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training
+ OSHA 30 required
+ Ability to track and properly document progress
+ Experience with or ability and willingness to learn Microsoft Office, Procore, Vista, and other project management software as required by each project
+ Strong presentation skills or the willingness to develop presentation skills
+ Maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record
+ Team-focused
+ Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
+ Highly skilled in schedule management, problem-solving, and communication
+ Safe work or No work mindset; fully committed to safety and jobsite standards, policies, and processes
