We are currently recruiting for a reliable and conscientious Bus Lot Attendant to join the Fleet Maintenance team. This critical Fleet position is fast-paced and dynamic, with no two shifts ever being the same. Our Bus Lot Attendants need to have an impressive work ethic, superior attention to detail, and high level of safety mindedness. A successful candidate for this job will be a self-starter who takes pride in their work, keeps safety at the forefront, and has a track record of outstanding customer service. Reliability and a solid work history will round out this candidate's application. Applicants should have at least two years of experience performing similar work and will be ready to take on the duties of the job to include:
- Direct the flow of incoming coaches on the bus lot, direct fuel operations.
- Deport on coach availability for evening peak-pull.
- Stage the coaches for evening services.
- Be prepared for both indoor and outdoor work.
- Take on the responsibility for safely performing all assigned work.
- Use sound independent judgment to make decisions and take actions on assigned duties.
- Work well with others.
- Ensure that work standards meet and/or exceed expectations.

Provide general assistance to operators to ensure timely coach departures.Direct incoming coaches to the correct parking location.Ensure coaches are available for scheduled preventive maintenance, cleaning, and other repairs; maintain updated lists as required to ensure work is completed with a minimum disruption of service and optimize equipment availability.Assist with backing of coaches when needed.Use spreadsheets to pair busses with specific runs based on miles and type.Communicate regularly vis email. Direct Service Station Attendant's on fueling operations.Conduct physical inventory of the bus lot throughout shift to determine and verify equipment availability and location.Reorganize bus lot layout as required to provide a logical and easily accessible equipment arrangement.During cold weather (below 32 deg.) pre-heat coaches to insure reliable departures.Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
AND
- Two (2) years' experience relating to the servicing of automotive equipment or graduation from a related vocational program.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- License Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Washington State driver license at time of application, with maintenance thereafter.
- Must obtain a Class B Commercial License Permit (CLP) prior to hire and successfully obtain a Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with air brake and passenger endorsement within ninety (90) days of hire, with maintenance thereafter.
- Must maintain acceptable driving record throughout employment.
- Special Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be willing to work any shift as assigned (weekends and/or swing or graveyard shift are likely).
- NOTE:

Knowledge of and skill in:
- Automotive tools, materials, and servicing procedures.
- Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies and inventory procedures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.

Skill in and ability to:
- Understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
- Work as a team with other employees in a directed work team environment.
- Prepare and maintain records.
- Conceptualize the work required, through personal observation or a verbal description, and determine what is necessary to obtain quality results.

- Pass a job-related examination.
- Pass federally required drug and alcohol testing mandates.
- Drive all job-related vehicles and maintain a valid WA State driver's license and CDL with endorsements as required.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work any day and any shift as assigned. Shifts are assigned by seniority.
- Hours worked during shifts scheduled to begin between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. receive a shift differential of $0.75 per hour.
- Hours worked between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. receive a shift differential of $2.50 per hour.
Important notes:
- Work is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions and will require exposure to soaps and various cleaning agents
- May be required to provide basic hand tools such as pliers and screwdrivers necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
