Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Business Analyst- Counterparty Risk to join their team. As a Business Analyst- Counterparty Risk, you will be part of the Risk and Regulatory Applications team supporting the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) initiatives and enhancements related to MRA's, MRIAs, other Regulatory mandates, new business growth and overall development of a robust CCR framework. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong knowledge of key concepts in Counterparty Risk and Derivatives Trading, and 10+ years of experience in Credit Risk in a Front Office or Credit/Market risk role in Financial Services.Job Title: Business Analyst- Counterparty RiskLocation: Jersey City, NJ (2x/week in office)Contract Duration: 1 year with possible extensions payable on W2What's the Job?Reside in the Risk and Regulatory Applications team in SMBC and play a critical role in the delivery of CCR initiatives and enhancements related to MRA's, MRIAs, other Regulatory mandates, new business growth and overall development of a robust CCR framework.Work alongside smart, effective team members elevating their skill set while adding value based experience.Be part of the CCR team comprised of Risk professionals and technologists.Work in a face-paced and exciting environment to deliver critical business needs.Collaborate with team members and wear any hat that is required to support your team members when needed.What's Needed?10+ years Business Analysis experience in Credit Risk in a Front Office or Credit/Market risk role in Financial Services.Exceptional communication, both verbally and written.Excellent presentation skills with ability to present to Director level and above.Strong knowledge of key concepts in Counterparty Risk and Derivatives Trading (inclusive of key risk measures, sensitivities, limit monitoring and general CCR framework, BASEL guidance concepts).Data mapping and sourcing experience.Advanced SQL, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.Project Management skills to organize, run/send meeting minutes and effectively track issues to closure; stakeholder management.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative team player.Background in Back Office Operations is a plus.Bachelor's Degree in Finance, IT, Accounting, Business.What's in it for me?Opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment.Chance to work on critical business needs and initiatives.Work alongside smart, effective team members elevating your skill set while adding value based experience.Hybrid role with flexibility to work from home 3x/week.If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
