Title: Business Analyst
Location: Bellevue, WA(Onsite)

We developed a custom internal application leveraging Salesforce and AWS for a very large organization. We work with other vendors to constantly improve and enhance features. The business analyst that gets hired will work with the existing team members who have been on the project for years. Please see responsibility and qualifications for more details.
The person we hire can be a project-based employee or full-time employee but mostly we hire resources as full-time employees to do consulting work. i.e. We are not a staffing company. The client and work are in Bellevue, WA.
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the current IT projects underway by analyzing and documenting business processes, creating user stories, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring alignment with company standards and IT best practices. This role involves collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, developing detailed project documentation, and utilizing data to report status and sprint metrics via weekly reports and sprint reports that track project performance and compliance. The Business Analyst also assists in adherence to the project management methodologies and tools, facilitates communication across teams, and contributes to the successful delivery of sprint goals by providing insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
Responsibilities
- Document business requirements by partnering with users to capture requirements in BRD and/or user stories for the tech team
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key users across various teams, acting as a liaison between the business and IT
- Educate and serve as an advocate for the IT applications and services the tech team provides
- Help improve adoption of the application and services that we support by training users, creating training material, answering questions via email and meetings, etc.
- Work closely with developers and testers to make sure they have a strong understanding of the business needs or issues so that development and testing can happen properly
- Use excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to bring clarity to complicated and confusing discussions and situations and to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Assist in the refinement and prioritization of product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
- Adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Good problem-solving skills, proven through experience with complex business processes and problems

Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a business analyst role, with a preference for backgrounds in the tech sector
- Bachelor's degree in IT related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of agile scrum from experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A consultant's mindset, adaptable and eager to acquire new skills
Desired Qualifications
- Having Jira knowledge is a plus
- Having Salesforce knowledge is a huge plus but not necessary. Hopefully you are a quick learner.
- Having used SQL for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting purposes
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Salesforce BA)
