Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract with our client in Minneapolis, MN. 75% Remote. Job Description: Tax Projects help implement mainframe program changes to remain compliant with tax regulations and 2023 reporting requirements as defined by the IRS. Deliver tax enhancements identified by the Tax Reporting team for client satisfaction and to meet their need. Produce annual client tax documents, Turbo Tax and IRS files. Current programs run based on reporting yearly requirements provided by IRS and Tax Reporting team and several changes are required for the upcoming yearly reporting identified by IRS and Tax Reporting team. The Tax Reporting projects within the Client Reporting and Aggregation capability helps client support regulatory and discretionary changes/enhancements needed to successfully produce the annual suite of original and corrected tax forms and provides ad hoc reports on an as needed basis. This is a crucial and complex area, and we would like to bring in someone who can stay with the team and not have to go through knowledge transfer every few years. Mainframe knowledge, Data Integration and Mapping, and vendor management expertise would be preferred. Individual will need to work with internal business at client in Minneapolis and Off-Shore team in India. Key Responsibilities: Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements, develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, manage risks, and communicate to appropriate parties. Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies. Elicit the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments. Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, and articulating on specific software requirements by communicating these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholder. Collaborate with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables. Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets to identify trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. Collaborating with peer Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent. Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read. Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure the requirements are met. Required Basic Qualifications: 5 years working as a Business Systems Analyst within a financial institution, preferably supporting Tax Reporting Proficient in creating and maintaining business analysis artifacts - Workflows, Data flow diagrams, Data Mapping documents, User Journeys, etc. Experience writing and running SQL queries to extract and analyze data large data sets as well as the ability to visualize data, etc. Competent in managing JIRA and SharePoint projects, boards, and workflows. Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $70.00-$80.00 We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
