Business Analyst (Advisory Product Platform Enhancements)

Hybrid Role: Hybrid 2-3 days/week in office minimum

Targeted Start Date: February 3rd, 2025

Duration: Strictly Contract to Hire role - through EOY

Rate Range: $59.40 - $71.28 w2

Project Justification:

  • Efforts within Advisory that will be delayed include Intraday Account Updates, Quarterly Release Notes, and agile teamwork for Northern Lights/A Team.
  • The resource would also be engaged in other activities for managing primary Advisory Platform applications that support the advisory accounts within the US Wealth Management.
  • AdvisoryLink is a critical platform for our advisors to manage their Advisory accounts, and without the proper staff, we are at risk of not rolling out much needed functionality to the FA's.
  • The BA role defines requirements, asks critical questions to deliver MVP, and performs the UAT and PIV testing to ensure the new functionality is correct. This is an important role to avoid delays or stop development on new functionality.

Brief Role Description:

  • Business Analyst to capture and document process, requirements, and test cases.
  • Project is critical and would slow down without BA to capture requirements and provide testing leadership.

What will you do?

  • Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements, develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, manage risks, and communicate to appropriate parties.
  • Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
  • Elicit the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments.
  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, and articulate specific software requirements by communicating these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholder.
  • Collaborate with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables.
  • Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets to identify trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Collaborating with peer Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT team to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent.
  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read.
  • Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure the requirements are met.

Must-have

  • 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst within a financial institution.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining business analysis artifacts - Workflows, Data flow diagrams, Data Mapping documents, User Journeys, etc.
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries to extract and analyze large data sets as well as the ability to visualize data, etc.
  • Competent in managing JIRA and SharePoint projects, boards, and workflows.
