Business Analyst (Hybrid)
Location: Columbus, Ohio (2-3 days in-office, preferred Tue/Thu)
Pay Rate: $48-$57/hour (W2 Contract, based on experience)
Contract Duration: February 2025 – August 2025 (Potential for extension based on project demands)
Overview:
Our client, a leading brand in the personal care industry, is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join their Acceleration/Transformation Office. This role involves gathering requirements, facilitating scoping sessions, and driving the success of small to medium-sized initiatives. As a critical contributor, the Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and provide insights that guide business processes and enable technology transformation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking abilities, and experience in end-to-end enterprise projects that combine both technology and business process transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document requirements for small to medium-sized initiatives, including both technical and business process changes.
- Facilitate scoping sessions with stakeholders, synthesizing and prioritizing information to align with business goals.
- Develop and maintain current and future process maps, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Establish collaborative partnerships with internal teams (e.g., legal, HR, operations) and external vendors to drive project success.
- Support PMO and delivery teams by serving as the Voice of the Customer, ensuring clarity and integrity of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide Change Management support, including the creation of user manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist the Portfolio team with business case development and documentation of sub-investments.
- Monitor and analyze project data/results to track metrics and inform improvements.
- Contribute to post-implementation support during hypercare and project closure.
- Offer tactical input on process improvements within the Business Analysis framework.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in Business Analysis, with preferred experience in retail and technical environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with requirements management, process modeling, and documentation techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, business rules). Retail technologies and process mapping tools such as ServiceNow's SPM module are desired.
- Key Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: IIBA CCBA, CSM/PSM, BPM certifications are a plus.
