Position: Mid-Senior Data Business Analyst

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates near Atlanta, GA, or within EST/CST time zones)

Rate: $65.00 - $70.00/hr w2

Seeking a skilled Data Business Analyst to support data management and analytics projects. This role requires the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring alignment on data needs, tools, and solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in Power BI, data management, and analytics, along with strong business analysis and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units, IT, and analytics teams to understand data needs, articulate IT solutions, and manage expectations effectively.
• Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams to support the development of data management solutions, including MDM and data lakes.
• Analyze and document data-related business processes, identify pain points, and propose improvements.
• Support enterprise analytics initiatives by gathering requirements and ensuring tools align with business needs.
• Assist in setting up data teams and ensuring smooth integration of AI and data engineering efforts.
• Work with stakeholders to develop business cases, process flows, and technical documentation.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure traceability between requirements, design, and testing scenarios.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in data management or analytics-related projects.
• Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of data management processes, including MDM solutions and data lake architecture.
• Ability to write process flows and business cases, focusing on financial feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
• Experience bridging the gap between business and technical teams, effectively translating requirements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to push back and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Blueworks, Modern Requirements, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
