Job Description :

A reputable private equity firm with several billion in AUM is looking to add a Business Development Associate to join their team. They are looking for the Business Development Associate to support their deal sourcing and business development efforts to build relationships with potential investment targets.

Business Development Associate Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and generate new investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and leveraging professional networks.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on potential sectors, industries, and companies that align with the firm's investment strategy.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry executives, investment bankers, business brokers, and other deal intermediaries to foster a robust pipeline of potential investment targets.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial models, industry reports, and company evaluations as part of the due diligence process.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with senior investment professionals to help assess potential opportunities and provide market insights.
  • Market Intelligence: Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging sectors to inform investment strategy.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports on deal flow, market trends, and research findings.

Business Development Associate Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in business development, investment banking, management consulting, venture capital or private equity (internships or relevant experience are a plus).
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with senior professionals and external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial tools.
