OverviewThe Business Development Director reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is part of Publicis Groupe Creative's US Growth Hub. This person is responsible for pitching, prospecting support, management of agency brands, and the growth and development of junior team members.
The Growth Hub is the engine that drives growth that helps grow our US Creative client list, reputation, culture, portfolio and bottom line. It's a high-functioning, quick-thinking, tight-knit group of thinkers and doers who move at the breakneck speed of new business to tell our agency narratives, build relationships, solve problems and win pitches.
As Business Development Director, you're entrusted to lead a live new biz opportunity from beginning to end. This means managing the people and the content. You'll vet the opportunity, craft the proposal, devise a plan to win and shepherd the pitch from kickoff to closing. You'll have a lot of help from the Growth Hub (as well as from the pitch team you helped cast), but you're the glue who keeps the ball moving and the team together. You're the first one to do background research on a new client, setting us up for smart recommendations and smarter content. You also make the trains run on time (and they're fast trains) by owning crucial operational intricacies like setting up timelines, tracking the budget and keeping the team in sync.
You report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This means early line of sight on all growth initiatives with a chance to impact decisions and accelerate the process. You'll have a dedicated PR partner, with whom you'll work hand in hand to ensure reputation of agency brand is being fostered and driven for growth results. Responsibilities• You've got at least 10 years of experience in the ad industry and at least 2 in business development.• You know how to use Google Docs and Microsoft Office programs. (And Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, iMovie and Final Cut are major pluses).• You've got a Bachelor's degree — ideally in marketing, communications, advertising or related field.• You're ready to roll up your sleeves and design beautiful solutions with some of the most driven people in the business.

Compensation Range: $95,950 - $150,995 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
