ADS, Inc. began more than 20 years ago by outfitting Navy SEALS with quality dive equipment, and today we're proud to manage 3,000 supplier partnerships and over 50,000 products.Please watch this video to learn more about ADS Inc DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager - Medical, PharmaceuticalsLocation: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) ADS is seeking a Category Manager to grow ADS's Medical/Pharmaceutical Market within the DoD and Federal Marketspace.This role will function as a Category Manager as well as a resource for the direct field team while managing a portfolio of suppliers and contracts. This position will report to the Director of the Medical Market and may be filled by a local or remotely located candidate. DUTIESCommitted to maximizing sales and margin potential for the Medical Pharmaceutical marketProvide support for Unit Sales, Program Sales and Integration Programs through trade/vendor show attendance, ride-a longs, product briefings, etc.Educate all appropriate individuals and teams on the medical pharmaceutical products and opportunitiesServe as a subject matter expert for the Medical Pharmaceutical Programs marketMaintain an industry presence within the customers' technical community, vendors, and upstream suppliers.Participate in the solicitation review and proposal preparation process, as appropriate.Build and establish relationships with key institutional customers [DLA, Prime Vendors, VAs, Key Government customers]REQUIREMENTSAbsolutely must be a highly competitive, challenge-oriented self-starter with the will/desire to be the best at what you do.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; medical military/work experience may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion3 years of experience in the field of military medicine, or related segments of the government medical marketKnowledge of the Medical/Pharmaceutical industryFrequent travel (50-75%)Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExcellent oral, verbal, and written communications skillsSuperior organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively, as well as independentlyDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with Government procurement processesFamiliarity with Pharmaceutical guidelinesADS believes that a diverse work environment leads to bigger thinking and more creative solutions to our customers' problems, and we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
