About the Position:

The Business Development Representative will sell PHIL's product line within their assigned sales territory. The Business Development Representative will build relationships with new and existing customers and will assist in expanding the PHIL brand by prospecting new opportunities. This role will serve as the PHIL company representative within their sales territory and is expected to contribute to the company's long-term business growth and global footprint.

Experience Required:

  • 4-year degree in a program or major relative to the position AND 6 years related experience in an industry relative to the Company
  • OR 2-year degree AND 8 years related experience in an industry relative to the Company
  • OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 10 years related experience in an industry relative to the Company

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the PHIL sales representative within the given territory and conduct full-cycle product line sales from initial contact to closing the sale.
  • Conduct, initiate, and follow-up with customer calls from given territory.
  • Perform cold calls (approximately 15 - 30 calls) each day to new prospects and/or dealers within the given territory.
  • Persuade and thoroughly explain the benefits of PHIL's assorted product line and why PHIL's product line is better than competitors.
  • Present, recommend, and sell high-dollar ticketed products to potential customers.
  • Provide customer support by communicating with existing customers in the given sales territory including part and product support, order support, and installation support.
  • Gather customer feedback on their PHIL experience and follow through on any outstanding support or assistance needed.
  • Develop a general knowledge and understanding of PHIL products, brand, and customers.
  • Network among current contacts to establish new leads, build relationships, and market PHIL's products.
  • Research the industry, assigned sales territory, and prospective companies and organizations to generate new sales leads.
  • Document customer interactions into PHIL's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Travel to given territories to meet face-to-face with customers, establish relationships, and gauge future product needs. Up to 25% travel required.
  • Attend trade shows and other company events to represent PHIL and expand the brand.
  • Attend sales and other relative training sessions on and offsite.
  • Collaborate with PHIL Associates and customers to communicate order changes, progress updates, and general product application and knowledge.
  • Balance high and low in-call sales volume to generate business.
  • Make product recommendations based on customer's needs.
  • Represent PHIL in an approachable and professional manner at all times.
