We are searching for the best talent for a Business Excellence Specialist to be onsite in Athens, GA.
Purpose:The purpose of this role is to ensure the implementation of the Johnson and Johnson Production System (JJPS) that will deliver Best in Class performance through a highly engaged workforce. Play a leading role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achieving sustainable high standards of manufacturing performance. This role will also support the execution of the Digital Strategy Roadmap for the site and partner with the DOTS organization as the support organization for the portfolio of digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:• Leading the embedding & sustaining of the “Managing Site Performance” business process standard on site• Owning and leading the site Root Cause Problem Solving system (RCPS) and embedding & improving its use within the site• Lead JJPS TIPs & coach initiative leads on JJPS methodology.• Guide area supervisors and managers on how to engage people through kaizen teams, improvement ideas generation, BE certifications, and other activities• Develop and Deploy plant-wide lean training modules• Develop and drive the Yellow Belt program on site• Drive the Lean philosophy throughout the site by supporting, mentoring and coaching employees in increasing their understanding and knowledge of Lean principles and techniques• Develop and cultivate a continuous improvement culture• Improve the involvement of employees in process improvements• Ensure all JJPS changes are conducted to the highest of standards in a safe, compliant, and effective manner• Provide support to various functions as required to meet the business targets and objectives; ensuring the plants processes operate at optimum• Facilitates Root Cause Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping and other Lean related activities on site• Provides coaching, mentoring, and direction to to all employees in relation to Lean tools and JJPS• Through personal expertise, leadership and commitment, provides direction to the site in the development of a culture of Lean and continuous improvement• Leading our Digital Community of Practice to ensure the Digital Strategy deployment at the Site• Sponsors cross-functional teams towards a process driven organizational culture
Required Qualifications:• Minimum of a bachelor's degree required, preferably within Supply Chain, Engineering or other science-related fields.• 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience required with consistent track record• Certified to Green belt level or relevant Lean Qualification• Working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing & Lean Manufacturing
Experience & Skills Required:• Strongly skilled in process improvement and structured problem solving.• Knowledge and experience in Lean thinking – Systems Thinking, Value• Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Problem solving, Line balancing, Standard Work, etc.• Excellent listening and analytical skills, facilitation skills, organized, and able to lead people and help them through the challenges of change within a complex environment• Outstanding presence and interpersonal skills, able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility. Must have collaboration and influence skills• Excellent intellect, strategic and tactical thinking ability, complemented by a “hands-on” operational and business planning orientation• Accountability, with a strong desire to commit, be held accountable and be rewarded for delivering results. Recognizes and builds support for change• Articulates a complex change in a way that is easily understood by others.• Models integrity and the values that inspire trust in the organization• Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts.
