Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact and ensuring proactive, timely communication regarding legal advice, case updates, and strategic consultations.
  • Develop and implement tailored immigration strategies for complex and unique matters, presenting clear and concise arguments to address client needs effectively.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective and existing clients to assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa categories, providing counsel at all organizational levels.
  • Prepare and file non-immigrant (L, H, TN, O, E) and immigrant (PERM, I-130, EB1A/B/C, I-140, I-485) petitions and applications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct thorough research on technical immigration issues and stay informed on developments in immigration law and agency practices to provide innovative and effective solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation of case materials, including drafting and reviewing filings, legal documents, and correspondence, while ensuring compliance with legal and firm standards.
  • Organize and manage client files in the firm's database, maintaining data accuracy and adherence to compliance protocols.
  • Accompany clients to interviews and in-person proceedings, providing guidance and support during critical stages of the process.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagement and contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and identifying growth areas within existing accounts.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment, and ensuring quality and efficiency in casework.
  • Actively participate in internal and external professional development opportunities, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the firm.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • NY State bar admission
  • 1-4 years of business immigration experience, preferably with one or more specific areas of specialization
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and keen analytical skills
  • Strong ability to show initiative and work as a part of a team with both legal and support staff
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
