Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer with AI Understanding and Background

Job Type: Contract (Only Independent Consultant)

Job Description:

Minimum Technical Qualifications:

• At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
• Writing complex DAX calculations
• At least ten (10) years of experience in:
• SQL performance tuning
• Creating E-R diagrams
• Designing efficient data models for large-scale Data Warehouse systems
• At least five (5) years of programming experience in Python, Java, or R for:
• Data processing
• Automation
• Working with large datasets
• At least three (3) years of experience with Amazon Redshift or Snowflake for scalable BI solutions.
• At least two (2) years of hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini), Auto-ML tools, or NLP for:
• Generative AI use cases
• Predictive analysis
• Data forecasting

Desirable Technical Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in providing enterprise-level data architecture and/or data modeling services at a public sector entity.
• Hands-on experience in developing ETL pipelines with AWS ETL tools, such as:
• AWS Glue
• AWS Step Functions
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields from an accredited or government-sanctioned college/university.
• The proposed project person will be able to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on-site 2-3 days per week at CalSTRS Headquarters, West Sacramento, CA.
