Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Royalty Analyst to join its world class royalty practice. The Royalty Analyst will be based out of our Woodland Hills, CA office. We seek an energetic and self-motivated individual who likes a team-oriented environment for this challenging career opportunity.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Assist with royalty income tracking
  • Review, interpret and apply contract terms
  • Create databases and summarize statements
  • Perform detailed analyses
  • Maintain and organize all documents
  • Communicate with points of contact at entertainment companies (record labels, publishers, etc.)
  • Prepare complex artist, producer, publisher, profit participation and mechanical statements
  • Prepare complex analytical reports
  • Prepare reports for client meetings
  • Field internal and external royalty inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Comfortably interact with clients and their teams through written and spoken communications
  • Manage ad-hoc requests, internal and external, as well as assist in various types of research

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Music Business Management, or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF – bonus points for experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Three to five years of music industry royalty experience
  • Genuine interest in the music business and music royalties
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented analytical thinker
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and reading comprehension
  • Understand basic accounting principles
  • Work well independently and in a team environment
  • Be eager to learn new skills and concepts
  • Ability to multi-task

The salary range is $68,000 -- $75,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
