Exercises discretion and independent judgment to oversee the activities of staff and the financial processes to ensure fiscal responsibility of department/college. Ensures staff and faculty have the resources to complete their work. Usually serves as a hiring manager and employee service coordinator.   • Manage daily administrative operations, including schedules and resource allocation.
  • Manages travel and schedules meetings for the Institute Director.
  • Demonstrate financial stewardship through the development, implementation, maintenance, reconciling and tracking of budgets for the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Security.
  • Prepare, maintain and reconcile business documents, payroll records, P-card reports.
  • Monitors and supports compliance with awards grants and contracts, assisting with grant reports, as needed.
  • Oversees student assistants for the Institute.
  • All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of Banner, Cognos, Chrome River, and Kenexa programs.
    • Previous experience in higher education, fund accounting, state and federal grants, and financial reporting.
