Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC (MER) is an integrated environmental company specialized in providing services to Energy and Industrial, Commercial and Naval Marine, Railroad and Government clients. With operations based in strategically located resource centers along the United States eastern and gulf coasts, the services we perform range in scope from routine maintenance work, utilizing vacuum trucks and high-pressure washing equipment to large-scale site remediation and abatement. JOB SUMMARY The Business Manager oversees all aspects of the management of the assigned Resource Center including Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Profitability and Growth. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates with senior management in the development of the Resource Center business
- Responsible for executing all aspects of the business plan, including measurable results in each of the following areas: Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Profitability and Growth
- Overall responsibility for Resource Center health and safety program and accident prevention, including personally conducting job site safety assessments on a weekly basis
- Responsible for and chairs accident, injury and near-miss investigations at assigned Resource Centers
- Overall responsibility for regulatory compliance of resource center including health, safety and DOT compliance
- Oversees the estimating and proposal process for the Resource Center while working closely with the Operations Manager, Account Managers and Business Development group to close opportunities
- Responsible for Program Manager assignments for Key Accounts and the overall delivery of quality services to client
- Manages the allocation of resources to assure overall Quality work performed and Customer
- Manages the administration process of the Resource Center. Drives billings and collections on an ongoing basis and resolves any related issues
- Manages performance and ongoing career development of direct report managers
- Works with Human Resources to recommend hiring activities relating to direct report managers
- Responsible to represent and be a visible ambassador of the organization within the business and local community in a positive manner. Participate in appropriate business trade organizations and community

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least five years of direct management experience in the construction and/or environmental and industrial services industry.
- Previous experience in managing personnel within a union environment preferred.
- Must be multi-task oriented and have strong supervisory, time management, organizational, and problem solving skills and the ability to understand and analyze components of project contracting, sales, profitability, and loss.

- Must have licenses as required by position, in good standing and meet applicable MER and DOT driving requirements to operate company vehicles and equipment (documentation is required).

- 29 CFR 1910.120 OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper and 8 Hour Supervisor Annual Refresher
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree required
- Additional business management education or professional training strongly preferred
