The hospital is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Health's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough.
POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a RN Instructor/ Nurse Educator. In this role, the successful candidate is a Registered Professional Nurse with advanced education and experience who provides for the orientation of new staff members; teaches required courses; provides in-service training; and provides educational programs identified through performance management and assessment of individual and staff needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree required. Four to five years of recent full-time Nursing experience required. The Specialty Instructors must have two to three years recent experience in the respective specialty (i.e. Critical Care, Maternal Child, Perioperative). Demonstrated patient care competency. Previous involvement in orientation process and preceptorship/internship programs. Demonstrates an understanding of the teaching-learning process. Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development. Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in NYS.
REQUIRED LICENSES: Registered Nurse License-NYS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Masters degree in Nursing required, NY State RN license, four to five years of recent full-time Nursing experience required with teaching experience preferred. Recent Critical Care experience. Demonstrated patient care competency. Previous involvement in orientation process, preceptorship/internship programs. Demonstrates an understanding of the teaching-learning process. Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development. Teaching Experience preferred.
