DescriptionBusiness Office ManagerRATE: $24-$24.50 (based on experience)SHIFT: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, DaysBENEFITS:Weekly PaychecksSame-Day Pay OptionsPaid Time OffHealth, Dental, Life InsuranceReferral Bonus up to $500/referralRetirement/401kJOB SUMMARY: The Business Office Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems to operate the facility in a fiscally responsible manner. This includes keeping systems financially compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES:Calculates and records daily census reportCommunicates payer changes to corporate Census Team and Medicaid CoordinatorMeets with residents/families to obtain financial information for billing and for the preparation of Medicaid applicationsCreates and maintains resident/patient financial filesManages facilities petty cash accountManages resident/patient spending accountsMails quarterly resident/patient spending account statementsProcesses resident/patient bills from outside vendorsPrepares, posts, and records data on deposit schedule. Sends reports to CorporateMakes daily bank depositsPrepares month end reports and balances accounts for: petty cash, meal ticket money, resident spending accounts and beauty shopParticipates in monthly review of aged accountsReviews account ledgers; records account adjustments, updates computer postings and issuance of refunds.Contacts DSS to obtain authorizations, readmissions, resolve NAMI questions, pending Medicaid applications and CASA approvals.Facilitates re-certifications and submits requested informationManages Medicare determination/re-determinationVerifies resident's insurance, including bed hold returnsPrepares private pay room rate correspondence, verifies and updates ratesCompletes all aspects of private billing and posting of payments receivedDistributes resident/patient status notification, electronically, regarding financial statusObtains custodial authorizations for MLTC, Managed Medicaid and PACE residentsManages VA paperworkNotifies residents and /or designated representatives within 48 hours of Medicare/insurance discontinuation in collaboration with the RCC'sReviews resident mail prior to forwarding to resident for payments intended for the facility accountsFiles Rep Payee for long term residents or residents who are applying for MedicaidCompletes yearly Rep Payee reports as applicableProcesses change of address notificationsFollows up on private collections, collects co-pays and outpatient servicesTracks and provides required DOH information on resident vaccination records, RHCF-4 statisticsParticipates in weekly Rehab meetingsREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Maintains resident's rightsMaintains HIPAA privacy, security and confidentiality standardsFollows universal precautions and infection control procedures and processesMeets acceptable time and attendance requirementsComplies with facility dress codePerforms duties with accuracy and timelinessExhibits and fosters a spirit of teamwork, positive attitude and conflict resolution among co-workersInteracts positively with residents, family members and visitors under a variety of conditions and circumstances.Assists in answering facility related questionsQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum: Associate's degree, Preferred: Bachelor's degreeMinimum: 3 years of experience working in a finance office preferably in long-term care settingABOUT US:The McGuire Group is a portfolio of six health care facilities in New York state, including: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg; Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue; Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga; Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville; Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.
