  • Responsible to oversee the daily activities of the medical collections claims resolution teams.
  • Liaison with practice and business office staff to resolve issues and outstanding problems in the area of AR management and Revenue Cycle processes.
  • Review metrics to identify trends or areas of focus and work to develop, document, and implement action plans to address issues on outstanding AR.
  • Provide guidance and training to assigned staff members and assure that policy and procedures are adhered to as outlined in the business office and employee manuals.
  • Support the financial goals of the company by being fiscally responsible in all areas, including staffing, and purchasing.
  • Develop and implement practice specific process improvement recommendations to secure positive results.
  • Develop and reach consensus with practice leadership concerning identified problem areas and pursuing recommended solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business health care administration, finance or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • A minimum of five years in healthcare, performance improvement or healthcare business operations preferred.
  • Must have proven ability in the technical aspects of systems implementation, operation, and support, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software; high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to make presentation to senior leadership, develop financial analyses and provide strategic direction.
  • Strong management, organization, prioritizing, multi-tasking, leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, as is knowledge of professional medical coding and how it will have financial implications.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work.
