Position Summary:
The Business Planning Manager will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of Hanwha Convergence by developing and executing strategic business plans that align with the company's growth objectives. This individual will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal capabilities to create actionable strategies that drive business performance, improve operational efficiency, and ensure sustainable growth in the solar O&M sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business strategy, industry trends, and a passion for advancing clean energy solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Development: Lead the development and execution of long-term business strategies, aligning them with Hanwha Convergence's vision and objectives. Create detailed business plans to achieve key growth and operational goals across global markets.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, analyzing industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and potential risks.
- Performance Metrics & KPI Development: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of business strategies. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress toward strategic goals.
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives and strategic projects. Ensure that business strategies are aligned with financial goals and resource allocation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in operations, business development, and finance to ensure strategic plans are executed effectively. Provide strategic insights and recommendations for improving operational processes and market positioning.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify potential business risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on overall company objectives. Maintain awareness of industry regulations, market shifts, and external challenges that may affect business strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Prepare and present strategic business plans, performance reports, and recommendations to the executive team and Headquarter team. Ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives across the organization.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Graduate degree a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in solar industry with significant time spent on:
- performance shortfall root cause analysis
- analyzing large data sets
- visualizing data in a variety of graphical formats
- identifying trends and outliers
- practical knowledge of data mining techniques
- application of basic statistical principles
- using and/or contributing to open-source software
- Proficiency with Excel and all other Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to accurately describe the relationship between physical events and trends in measured data of highly complex systems
- Ability to work in cross-matrix teams of peers to efficiently complete highly complex projects and goals
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to travel up to 30% of time
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate vision into an executable plan and clearly communicate details and thoughts to internal stakeholders.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in strategic business planning, corporate strategy, or business development is required, with a preference for candidates with experience in the renewable energy, solar, or O&M sectors.
- Demonstrated success in creating and implementing strategic plans that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business environments and identify key trends and opportunities.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence senior leadership.
- Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives.
- Familiarity with the solar O&M market and trends in renewable energy is a plus.
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools, business analysis software, and financial reporting systems.
- English and Korean language skills are required.
