SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director of Finance and Accounting, , the Business Process Manager will collaborate with department leaders and teams across the organization to drive operational excellence and effective change management through analysis, design and optimization of businesses processes and systems that improve communication, productivity, and overall business performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes, workflows, and systems to develop data-driven process improvement recommendations including via design, analysis, optimization or automation of new and existing processes.
  • Conduct financial analyses to assess the cost-effectiveness and ROI of proposed process improvements.
  • Lead process improvement projects, from ideation to execution, to ensure successful implementation and adoption of improvements, including timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the queue of process improvement projects, and collaborate with business leaders to evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with teams company-wide to ensure cross-departmental alignment on process improvements.
  • Identify and analyze key performance metrics to track the financial and operational impacts of process changes, providing insights to guide future improvements.
  • Establish measurements and monitor process performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics or reporting tools.
  • Document and report ongoing project metrics (scope, timeline, resources, etc.), progress, and outcomes to inform and align stakeholders on proposed plans and implementation.
  • Consult with internal and external experts to determine and ensure best practices are being employed, and that improvements being implemented align with company goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to become a trusted partner and resource for problem solving and organizational improvement.
  • If required, create and lead small functional teams while long-term organizational changes are implemented.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Quality Assurance team to create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of ERP and other business systems, equipment and processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with process automation tools, coding, scripting, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
  • Must be self-driven and accountable.
  • Must enjoy and be effective working in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education and experience)

  • BS/BA degree in Business Management, Engineering, Finance, or other related field of study.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, data visualization tools and process mapping software is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit and stand; using the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lens. Requires long periods of time working at a computer and includes phone work.
