This Community Employment Program Specialist position is located in the Central Region of the state, which provides services to persons who have disabilities which prevent them from independently obtaining, maintaining, or retaining employment. The incumbent will also develop and maintain relationships with employers in the counties of the catchment area.

Job responsibilities include the following:
* Assist in the placement of eligible consumers incompatible and competitive employment that is consistent with their
interests and abilities
* Work closely with counselors to determine appropriate vocational goals for consumers and identify the availability of
similar positions
* Teaching employment marketing classes to work-ready consumers
* Presentations to businesses and community partners, meet with local and regional employers to better understand their
business needs, explain agency mission and goals and to obtain their agreement and commitment to hire vocational
rehabilitation (VR) consumers
* Providing consistent written and verbal feedback to counselors regarding the progress of referred consumers' efforts to
obtain employment.
* Participate in job fairs and other community events to promote and present the agency and its consumers as well as
represent the work unit on boards/committees as designated by the Unit Manager
* Marketing On the job training and Internships to employers when applicable, as well as marketing and presenting
Windmills Disability Awareness Training to local employers.
Selected applicant needs to have the means to travel as the job requires.

Bachelor's degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution;

Associate's degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience;
OR
