Minimum Qualifications:Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency or bachelor's degree and 2 years (6 years total).Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Tier 1 (T1) Public Trust Clearance.Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.).Understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.Skilled in identifying and addressing client needs, actively participating in client discussions and meetings; preparing concise, accurate documents and meeting minutes.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and related applications.Microsoft Excel - intermediate to expert level; create pivot tables and charts, use power query, use VLOOKUP, get external data, write macros to automate processing.Microsoft Project – basic to intermediate level; export data, manually update progress, customize views and data fields.Optional Qualifications:Data Analytics certification (Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, CompTIA Data+, etc.).BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.Prior DoD experience; Defense Health Agency or Military Health System experience a plus.Responsibilities:Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports.Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.Work with stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs.Detect and define new process improvement opportunities.Assist preparing the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which tracks milestones, including all necessary dependencies and allows for on-demand reporting.Coordinate with Financial Analysts and Performance Analysts to analyze IMS data and produce all required reports for stakeholders and senior management.Apply expertise on complex work assignments; assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.Perform more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to a Data Analyst and may supervise others.Other tasks as assigned.Work Environment:Hybrid Telework.
