This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the operations of a business unit, driving performance improvements, and ensuring the achievement of our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational leadership, financial management, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to foster growth and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Oversee daily operations to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, driving revenue growth, controlling costs, and ensuring overall profitability.
- Develop and execute business plans that enhance growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by focusing on quality and timely delivery of products. Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic direction aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Develop scalable operational frameworks to support dynamic business environments. Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Identify areas for improvement and spearhead projects to boost productivity, minimize waste, and increase efficiency. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, providing coaching, performance management, and professional growth opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies across all operations.
- Enforce safety regulations and promptly address any safety issues. Additional Responsibilities
- Willingness to travel and work at different locations during the first six months as needed.
- Support the scaling up of business operations and contribute to the development and implementation of growth plans. Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong track record in operations leadership and achieving business objectives.
- Experience in custom manufacturing is a plus.
- Prior experience in scaling up a business is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to drive growth and identify new market opportunities.
- Proven expertise in P&L management and financial performance.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Proficient in Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies.
