Business Unit Leader

Belt Power LLC is a full-service distributor and fabricator specializing in the fulfillment of conveyor system requirements for the manufacturing and material handling industry. We place an emphasis on providing quality, value added components. Our product line ranges from conveyor belts, equipment, components and belting accessories to rubber, hose, and gasket products. Whether a large-scale operation or a small business looking for their first conveyor system, Belt Power LLC can provide their customers with the correct parts and solution for their specific applications.

The Business Unit Leader (BUL) will be responsible for leading our sales team. They will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of your salespeople.

Responsibilities Include:

* Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.

* Meeting planned sales goals.

* Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.

* Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.

* Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.

* Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.

* The ongoing training of your salespeople.

* Developing your sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.

* Promoting the organization and products.

* Understand our customers and how they relate to our products.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in the belting industry.

* Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

* Experience in planning and implanting sales strategies.

* Experience in customer relationship management.

* Experience managing and directing a sales team.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Dedication to providing a great customer service experience.

* Ability to lead a sales team.

Physical Demands:

The Business Unit Leader may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the Business Unit Leader will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
