Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's supply chain operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional to leverage their skills and experience in a challenging and rewarding environment. The Buyer will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, purchasing raw materials, and utilizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to meet the company's production needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize MRP systems to forecast, plan, and manage the purchase of raw materials and components to meet the company's production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and prices to ensure the best quality and cost efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand product requirements and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders or invoices in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing company, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
