ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing ideas or plans for merchandise displays or window decorations and discussing their implementation with the management team.Assist in overseeing merchandising, buying, and warehouse activities; work closely with the warehouse manager to assist in the day-to-day operations. Responsible for attending management meetings to consult on the overall planning of merchandising initiatives and timing for displays and decorations.Responsible for researching, analyzing, developing, and forecasting current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target markets and demographics; ensures product selection is aligned with market trends; ensures product assortment is consistent with the store concept and lease requirements.Be a critical driver of re-concepting stores and ensuring those stores are set up for success. Assess the financial risks of purchases and find solutions to mitigate any risks.Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers, representing the organization positively and professionally.Negotiate contracts with wholesalers and suppliers, keeping the company's best interest at the forefront, and maintain communication with management.Conduct financial analysis, focusing on gross margin performance, and communicate your findings to the leadership team. Assist the Managers with store maps, new product placement, and periodic checking to ensure accuracy and compliance.
