We have an Upstream Oil & Gas company based in Houston, TX (Greenway Plaza area) looking for a SCM Buyer to join their team.

• Schedule: Hybrid (MF work-from-home / TWTh in-office)
• Work type: W2 Contract / Non-exempt
• Contract Duration: October 2024 - May 2025, possibility of extension
• Pay Rate: Hourly + 1.5x OT

Technical Skills:

• Intermediate experience with Word and Excel
• Must know how to schedule meetings in Outlook
• Strong organizational skills are essential, particularly for candidates who may have previously had assistants or coordinators managing tasks for them

• Fast-paced and dynamic, influenced by frequent changes due to federal regulations

Responsibilities:

• Procure goods and services for the company through competitive sourcing events
• Develop acquisition plans, sourcing strategies, and conduct market research
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Analyze price proposals and financial data to determine reasonable pricing
• Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss requirements and address performance issues with suppliers
• Monitor and evaluate contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and recommend changes when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• 5-10 years of procurement experience
• Experience with Ariba or other sourcing tools preferred
• Federal procurement experience is a plus
