Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services necessary for our company's operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Own the procurement process from RFQ to generating a purchase order to resolving invoices issues. Negotiate price and lead time to achieve the best value for the company and to support production schedule.
  • Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately. Track orders and resolve any issues related to late delivery, quality, or pricing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Update and maintain vendor's lead time, pricing and minimum order quantity.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and address any issues or concerns. On boarding new vendors. Updating/maintaining the approved vendor list.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments to optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely within the team and with other departments, such as production, quality control, and finance, to understand their needs and ensure seamless procurement processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, supply chain, operations or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in procurement for a manufacturer, including raw material, outside process and MROs.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management. Effectively prioritizes tasks and concentrates efforts on key priorities. Demonstrates strong planning skills and maintains awareness of deadlines, responding appropriately to immediate, short-term, and long-term requirements.
