We are seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team at a leading PET plastics manufacturing facility in Frackville, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing raw materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory for the plastics industry. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely acquisition of materials while optimizing costs and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of raw materials (resins, chemicals, etc.) for PET plastics production.
• Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new partnerships to meet the company's cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of materials while minimizing excess inventory.
• Order Processing: Place purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify trends and optimize purchasing strategies.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
• Problem Solving: Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with PET plastics, resins, and other raw materials used in plastic manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Other: Knowledge of local and global supply chains, logistics, and transportation.

• Full-time, hybrid position located at either our Greensboro, NC or our Frackville, PA manufacturing facility.
