BUYER - Fabcon : Job Details

Fabcon, Inc., an industry leading company in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an associate Buyer.

This buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, equipment, or services needed for production. Their primary goal will be to ensure the company has the necessary resources at the right quality, price, and delivery time to meet production schedules efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Obtains confirmation of receipt of purchase orders from vendors for each purchase order.
• Follows up with vendors on open purchase orders to ensure acceptable delivery dates.
• Work closely with production, warehouse and requisitioners to ensure that deliver dates are communicated and expediting is performed where necessary to conform to the needs of Fabcon, Inc.
• Obtains and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and payment terms with suppliers with respect to price, availability and quality.
• Reviews purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy before placing purchase orders. Before placing order, obtains missing and/or incomplete information from requisitioner.
• Handle any discrepancies between Fabcons PO price and Vendors invoice price.
• Initiate and handle any purchase order non-conformances and/or returns to vendor situations that arise. This includes return for credit and/or return for replacement occurrences necessitated by Vendors in adherence to Fabcons stated quality requirements as well as necessitated by Fabcons desire to return excess materials. Perform the necessary Quality transactions within Fabcons ERP system for each return to vendor situation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management
• 2+ years of buying experience
• 2+ years experience with ERP system
• Experience in manufacturing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish)
