Location of Work: Hybrid based in Superior, WI

Job Overview:

The Buyer has at least 3 years' experience working in a fast-paced purchasing environment, including international purchasing. This person is an analytical thinker, with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a broad variety of suppliers. Most of the purchasing completed by this position is for components necessary for the manufacturing of archery products.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

· Plans and purchases supplies, materials, and parts for the company.

· Maintains prices and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability.

· Negotiates commercial terms with suppliers for optimal cost and delivery times.

· Manages purchase order process for in-scope work.

· Ensure proper commercial documentation is in place with suppliers.

· Collaborates with other internal departments as needed, including R&D, QA, Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Accounting.

· Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.

· May be asked to travel occasionally to visit vendors or other company locations.

· May be asked to support meetings or communication outside of normal business hours with internal team members and/or international partners.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as inventory software such as Macola.

Qualifications:

· 3-5 years prior purchasing or buying experience

· Demonstrated strong experience in Excel

· Prior experience with Macola is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to travel on occasion to FeraDyne Headquarters and other business locations

Salary target range is $60,000-80,000. However, the offer will be based on the selected candidate's evidence of experience in the field and on their ability to meet the requirements of the position.
