Click here to learn more about Britten, Inc. www.britteninc.com What We Seek...We are looking for a passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented Buyer?to join the Supply Chain team. This person will source stock/non-stock materials that meet our quality standard as well as maintain appropriate inventory levels and supplies to keep production going. The ideal candidate should be able to develop strategic sourcing processes, manage suppliers, collaborate with internal departments, and ensure the orders are delivered on time.   • Manage the procurement duties of BoxPop's materials, supplies, and services.
  • Working with Internal Departments (Operations, Materials Manager, Sales) on inventory planning, Kanban refilling, and strategic sourcing.
  • Develop and implement RFQ/RFP/Strategic Sourcing process for the best delivery time, cost, and quality performance.
  • Source and set up new vendors for stock or non-stock commodities as needed
  • Create and update Purchase Orders in ERP system based on purchasing request.
  • Sending Purchase Orders to vendor after receiving quotes, lead time, quality, and shipping method are confirmed.
  • Collaborate with vendor to confirm open order status and expedite backorder commodities as needed.
  • Provide backorder report and work closely with internal stakeholders to limit the impact on production.
  • Assist Accounting and Materials Manager with the order receiving process including shipment tracking, invoice/pack slip reconciliation, paperwork collection, and freight cost confirmation.
  • Maintain awareness of world markets and material related issues; reduce the impact of the supply chain disruption and escalate challenges to leadership.
  • Drive cost saving initiatives by competitive sourcing, finding alternative materials, and selecting cost-effective transportation methods.
  • Analyze material usage from Salesforce and ERP system, to optimize minimum and maximum inventory levels.
  • Manage supplier relationships domestically & internationally to ensure that Britten maintains a sustainable competitive advantage through supply chain.
  • Contact vendors regarding material problems within assigned plans that are either the result of demand fluctuations, delayed receipt, quality issues, etc.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Production and Project Managers on project purchase and facilitate a Make-or-Buy Decision.
  • Work cross functionally to rectify defective material and subsequent plans for future.
  • Monthly Inventory - includes leading the physically counting inventory, reconciling count variances, data entry and analysis of count accuracy.

  • Competitive drive and ability to work at a faster than average pace.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred or a combination of experience and education.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, planning, project management.
  • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation skills, able to consider all opportunities and options both short and long range when sourcing products, programs and/or services.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and reflect a positive attitude towards challenging job requirements.
  • Maintains job responsibilities of programs assigned along with any additional responsibilities assigned by Manager.
  • Superior computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Excel (VLookup/Pivot Tables), Microsoft Outlook, CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce & Microsoft Dynamics a plus).
  • Dispute Resolution.
  • Abilities to interpret engineering drawings is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to work cooperatively and quickly to achieve maximum efficiency.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work in an office and field environment
  • Airline and automobile travel may be required based upon project locations.
  • Light work that includes moving or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to sustain posture in a seated position for prolong periods of time.
  • Long hours and weekends may be required at times to ensure project timelines and delivery and installation schedules are met.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other business machines and well as equipment and/or machinery.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Performing and assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness work
