Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Buyer with a strong background in purchasing negotiations, ERP/MRP systems, and a proven track record of success in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional supply chain experience and expertise in managing the procurement process from sourcing to negotiation and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute purchasing negotiations with vendors to secure optimal terms and pricing for materials and services.
  • Utilize JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP systems for procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and timely transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain efficiency and continuity.
  • Analyze market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and finance, to support purchasing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering to avoid production delays.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and resolve any issues related to product delivery or quality.
  • Lead efforts to optimize purchasing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in supply chain and procurement roles.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP software systems.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, purchasing strategies, and procurement best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
