IntePros is currently looking for a Buyer to join one of our growing Medical Device Clients in Audubon, PA. The Buyer will review and analyze purchase requisitions. Oversees purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Reviews purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for supplier quotes. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value. Develops new supply sources when vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. Recommends cost saving proposals and interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability.
Buyer Job Responsibilities:
- Sustains open communication with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are maintained, while communicating directly with customers when critical issues arise
- Coordinates with suppliers and Accounts Payable, ensuring purchase orders are received and any outstanding invoices or discrepancies are resolved
- Manages purchase orders and resolves all supplier problems associated with late deliveries, over shipments, invoicing issues, and rework and scrap material
- Drives cost reductions and supports capacity planning while maintaining high-quality products through organized buying activities and strong supplier relationships
- Oversees supplier coordination through consistent order review meetings and closure of action items, maintaining a balance of supply and demand while meeting company costs, lead time and inventory objectives
- Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the purchasing team, developing and implementing inventory controls and best practices
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Buyer - Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or similar field preferred and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced ability to prioritize work while balancing multiple priorities and focusing on excellent customer service
- Possesses excellent aptitude for customer service with confidence and the ability to communicate professional with internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, with the ability to collect and review data, establish facts and successfully solve problems
- Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
- Experience working for a medical device manufacturer preferred
