- Knowledge of how to operate and adjust assembly equipment, including: table saw, chop saw, jointer, hand router, splinter, power screwdrivers, power screw dado machine, and miscellaneous hand tools
- Experience in woodworking and use of adhesives
- Familiar with the types and use of fasteners
- Assemble units squarely and within dimensional tolerances
- Basic sanding knowledge of wood and solid surface
- Able to read blueprints for dimensions, assembly, and fixture details
- Demonstrate ability to use detailed measuring device equipment
- Knowledge of wood species and characteristics
- Exhibit knowledge of touch-up processes, such as filler sticks, putty sticks, etc.
- Understand how to prep for finishing
- Knowledge of metal break and sheer
- Able to pull information from work packet, such as: budget, material, and hardware requirements
- Maintain the highest quality with all aspects of the job
- Mark fixtures with the correct information
- Knowledge of inlay material for detailed process
- Identify joinery types, when to use, and the difference between a field joint versus a shop joint
- Complete dry fitting of field joints and document appropriately
- Understand fixture construction process
- Familiar with door/drawer mounting and various types of hardware applications
- Knowledge of outfitting basic wiring
