  • Knowledge of how to operate and adjust assembly equipment, including: table saw, chop saw, jointer, hand router, splinter, power screwdrivers, power screw dado machine, and miscellaneous hand tools
  • Experience in woodworking and use of adhesives
  • Familiar with the types and use of fasteners
  • Assemble units squarely and within dimensional tolerances
  • Basic sanding knowledge of wood and solid surface
  • Able to read blueprints for dimensions, assembly, and fixture details
  • Demonstrate ability to use detailed measuring device equipment
  • Knowledge of wood species and characteristics
  • Exhibit knowledge of touch-up processes, such as filler sticks, putty sticks, etc.
  • Understand how to prep for finishing
  • Knowledge of metal break and sheer
  • Able to pull information from work packet, such as: budget, material, and hardware requirements
  • Maintain the highest quality with all aspects of the job
  • Mark fixtures with the correct information
  • Knowledge of inlay material for detailed process
  • Identify joinery types, when to use, and the difference between a field joint versus a shop joint
  • Complete dry fitting of field joints and document appropriately
  • Understand fixture construction process
  • Familiar with door/drawer mounting and various types of hardware applications
  • Knowledge of outfitting basic wiring
