**Job Title: Cable Assembler****Join Our Team as a Cable Assembler!****CURRENT OPENING:**+ **Shift:** Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM+ **Pay:** $22/hr.+ **Duration:** Open-ended, long-term assignment with potential for permanent conversion**ABOUT THE ROLE:**As a Cable Assembler, you'll be a crucial part of our operations in Santa Rosa, helping to create electrical connectors that power oil and gas drilling pumps. Think of our products as the essential extension cords that keep the energy flowing miles beneath the earth's surface.**A DAY IN THE LIFE:**+ **Morning Routine:** Start your day by reviewing work orders (WO's) organized by priority.+ **Cable Cutting:** Use a forklift to move large spools (up to 2,000 lbs.) and cut cables to specification using a band saw.+ **Inventory Management:** Track your work in a spreadsheet, ensuring accurate inventory records.+ **Teamwork:** Collaborate with colleagues for buddy lifts on heavier items (over 35 lbs.).**WHAT YOU NEED:**+ **Hard Skills:**+ Forklift certification+ Proficiency with a band saw and box cutter+ Basic computer skills (Excel for data entry and label printing)+ English literacy (reading, writing, speaking)+ **Soft Skills:**+ Commitment to safety protocols+ Attention to detail and organizational skills+ Physical stamina (standing for 8 hours/day, lifting up to 35 lbs.)+ Team player with a positive attitude**JOB TYPE:**+ **Contract Position:** 4 months with potential for extension**WORK SITE:**+ **Location:** Fully on-site in Santa Rosa, California**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**+ **Safety Gear:** Steel-toed boots required+ **Pace:** Steady with occasional busy periods**About Aerotek:**We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
